CHARGE: Aggravated murder

POTENTIAL PUNISHMENT: Death (Capital Offense Case)

VENUE: Hamilton County, Cincinnati, Ohio

ALLEGATION: 6 foot, 4 inch 300 pound man bit and beat a toddler to death while he was babysitting the youngster in the home of the child's mother. The child died after suffering two broken arms, bites, a brain injury caused by blunt trauma to the head and internal organ damage.

DISPOSITION: Plea to reduced charge of murder. Mr. Whipple escaped the possibility of receiving the death penalty.

RESULT: Mr. Whipple was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
