CHARGE(S): Murder with gun specifications, 2 counts of Felonious Assault with gun specifications
POTENTIAL PUNISHMENT: Life in prison
VENUE: Hamilton County, Cincinnati, Ohio
ALLEGATION: After being bullied and taunted, a juvenile boy retrieved a gun from an adult. Thereafter, the juvenile shot and killed one juvenile, shot and permanently paralyzed another juvenile and then shot and seriously injured yet another juvenile.
DISPOSITION: Plea to reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault.
RESULT: Mr. Bennett's juvenile client was only sentenced to 6 years in the Department of Youth Services followed by one year of parole.
